Obituary of David R. Thompson

David R. Thompson, age 70 of Bethpage, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018.  Funeral Service will be Saturday, August 18^th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Friday, August 17^th from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, August 18^th from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Thompson was born July 18, 1948 in Sumner County to the late William C. Thompson and Perlie Craven Thompson.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Stella York Thompson; Teresa Gail Kimble; and 1 grandson, Billy Wayne Lee.  He is survived by son, David Thompson of West Palm Beach, FL.; step-daughter, Darlene Thompson (Donnie) of Bethpage; brothers, Donnie Thompson (Darlene) of Bethpage, Bill Thompson of Bethpage, and Jimmy Thompson of Springfield; sister, Juanita Brown (Nicky) of Cottontown; 3 grandchildren, Billy Fuqua (Marsha), Cindy Shannon (Richie), and Tiffany Fuqua; and 6 great grandchildren, Erin Fuqua, Ashley Fuqua, Cooper Fuqua, Taylor Shannon, Jacob Shannon, and Madison Wallace.  Online condolences may be submitted at alexanderfamilyheritagefh.com.  Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
