Obituary of George Mac Butler

George Mac Butler, age 92 of Gallatin, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018.  Funeral Service will be Monday, September 24th at 11:00 a.m. at Gallatin First Baptist Church, 205 East Main Street, Gallatin, TN  37066, with Bro. Mike Corbin and Pastor Travis Fleming officiating.  Visitation will be Monday, September 24th from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the church.  Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens, with Kevin Butler, Ken Butler, Doyle Butler, Jeff Butler, Steve Flatt, and Liam Butler serving as pallbearers. 

Mr. Butler was born September 16, 1926 in Jackson County, TN to the late Wigg Thomas Butler and Versie Lee Butler.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Barbara Jones Butler; brothers, Edward Butler, Mack Butler, Bethel Butler, and Aubrey Butler; and sisters, Polly Holmes, Charlene Snoddy, and Wanda Simkins.  He is survived by daughters, Sherry Butler of Hendersonville and Karen Mathews (Kevin) of Mt. Juliet; son, Kelly Butler (Kellie) of Franklin, TN; brothers, E. H. Butler of Knoxville and Bobby Butler of Gallatin; and 7 grandchildren, Liam Butler, Lola Butler, Lex Butler, Lana Butler, Lane Butler, Louis Butler, and Lucy Butler.  The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Gallatin First Baptist Church, Homebound Ministries, P. O.
