Obituary of Ellen Hagan Brooks

Ellen Hagan Brooks, age 85 of Portland, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018.  Funeral Service will be Monday, October 15th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home, 100 Albert Gallatin Avenue, with Bro. Don Craighead officiating.  Visitation will be Sunday, October 14th from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Monday, October 15th from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. 

Mrs. Brooks was born November 29, 1932 in Elkridge, WV, to the late Charles E. Hagan and Lovell Holbrook Hagan.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, John Richard Brooks; and brothers, Orville Hagan and Gary Hagan.  She is survived by daughter, Cindy Thompson (Marty) of Portland; brothers, Bobby Hagan of Georgia, Larry Hagan (Nola) of Lafayette, and Danny Hagan of Summerville, WV; and sisters, Phyllis Deal (Howard) of West Virginia, Libby Jackson of Cleveland, OH, and Betty Deal (Gene) of West Virginia.  Mrs. Brooks served our country in the United States Air Force for 3 years and was a LPN for 25 years.  She was a member of Bush’s Chapel Church of Christ.  Online condolences may be submitted at alexanderheritagefh.com.  Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
