Obituary of Charles "Charlie" Hall

Charles “Charlie” Hall, age 81 of Gallatin, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018.  Funeral Service will be Friday, October 19 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home, 100 Albert Gallatin Avenue, with Ken Weidner and Bro. Jerry Peace officiating.  Visitation will be Thursday, October 18th from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Friday, October 19th from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.  Interment, with Military Honors, will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with Lee Hall, Ken Weidner, Don Foy, Al Fleetwood, J. R. Robison, Bill Allison, and Buddy Parker serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Elks Lodge brothers and sisters.  There will be an Elks Memorial Service Thursday, October 18th from 7:00 – 7:15 p.m., everyone is welcome to attend.

Mr. Hall was born January 15, 1937 in Castalian Springs, to the late Henry Lee Hall and Lou Vena Cowan Hall.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Harold Hall; sister, Helen Grant; and brother-in-law, Earl Grant.  He is survived by wife of 58 years, Sarah Maness Hall of Gallatin; daughter, Kim Jackson (Steve) of Gallatin; son, Lee Hall (Janice) of Castalian Springs; 1 grandchild, Sarah Elizabeth Jackson of Hendersonville; brothers, William Hall (Miriam) of Gallatin and Nelson Hall (Karen) of Castalian Springs; and sisters, Louise Hall of Castalian Springs, Betty Johnson (Jim) of Bethpage, and Linda Hall of Gallatin.  Mr. Hall served our country in the United States Army as a paratrooper.  He was a charter member of the Madison Elks Lodge.  He was the Exalted Ruler of the Gallatin Elks Lodge #2547 for 9 years and was a lifetime member of Elks Lodge.  In addition he held offices in the State Elks Lodge.  Mr. Hall retired from American General Life Insurance Company after more than 30 years in the industry.  Online condolences may be submitted at alexanderheritagefh.com.  Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
