Obituary of Farris Sircy

Farris Sircy, age 85 of Gallatin, TN, passed away at Westmoreland Care and Rehab after a long battle with dementia. Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 13th in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home in Gallatin, TN, with Bro. Stanley Carter and Elder Ricky Hall officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 13th from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens, with Ben Warner, Trae Hall, Ben Amons, Brian Carter, Kenny Carter, and Ricky Shoulders serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Gibson, Paul Carter, and Gary Johnson. Memorials may be made to West End Missionary Baptist Church, 440 West Main Street, Gallatin, TN 37066. Mrs. Sircy was born in Smith County on January 23, 1936, the daughter of the late Curtis and Olene Carter. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Kenneth “Zip” Sircy; daughters, Regina and Kendra Sircy. Mrs. Sircy leaves behind three grandchildren, Miranda Amons (Ben), Ben Warner, Trae Hall; 5 great grandchildren, Drake Amons, Marley Amons, Waylon Amons, Rilynn Warner, Maddox Warner, and Owen Lee Hall; brothers, Paul Carter (Carol) of Lebanon and Stanley Carter (Cindy) of Portland; sister, Lavonna Johnson (Gary) of Portland; nieces; nephews; and cousins. She graduated from Macon County High School in 1955. Farris was saved October 5, 1946 and joined Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church. After moving to Gallatin, Farris joined West End Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member for 45 years. Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
