Obituary of Doyle Mae Scruggs Howser

Ms. Doyle Mae Scruggs Howser, age 74, of Lafayette, passed away Friday, June 18, 2021, at her residence. Funeral Services for Doyle Mae Scruggs Howser are scheduled to be conducted on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at 2 PM from Millers Chapel General Baptist Church with Reverend Joe West and Reverend Pete Freeman officiating. Interment will follow in the Millers Chapel Cemetery. Visitation with the family will begin at the funeral home on Monday, June 21, 2021 from 1 PM until 10 PM and on Tuesday, from 10 AM until 1 PM. The funeral procession will leave at 1 PM to go to Millers Chapel General Baptist church for the funeral service. There will be a Lafayette Eastern Star Service #379 at 7 PM on Monday June 21, 2021 from the Chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home. Family respectfully request donations be made towards Millers Chapel Cemetery. Doyle Mae Scruggs Howser was preceded in death by; Parents, Clarence Lee Scruggs and Hortence Harp Scruggs; Husband, Jerry Howser; Sister, Mary Ann Scruggs; Brothers Hollis Ray Scruggs and Earl Scruggs and wife, Shirley. She is survived by; Children, Penny Jenkins Pamela Owen and husband, Tony Reverend Terry Howser and wife, Audrey Grandchildren, Brandon Owen and wife, Debra Jo Aleisha Thompson and husband, Justin Kyle Owen and wife, Heather Clara Schmittou and husband, Aaron Bryan Jenkins and Fiancé, Katelynn Jerryn Howser Brother, Hubert Scruggs and wife, Mary Lee Sisters in law, Louise Scruggs Wilma King Eight Great Grandchildren also survive.
