Obituary of Mary Magdalene Franklin

Ms. Mary Magdalene Hagan Franklin, age 96, of Lafayette, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Macon Community Hospital. Funeral Services for Ms. Mary Magdalene Franklin are scheduled to be conducted on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at 2 PM from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Jeff Blackwell and Brother Joseph Rushing officiating. Interment will follow in the Akersville Cemetery. Visitation with the family will begin at the funeral home on Friday, July 23, 2021 from 11 AM until 9 PM and on Saturday, from 9 AM until service time at 2 PM. The family respectfully request donations be made toward Akersville Cemetery or Sherry’s Hope. Ms. Mary Magdalene Franklin was preceded in death by; Husband, Elvin Franklin; Parents, Herman Mansfield Hagan and Ida Pearl O’Bannon Hagan; Sons-in-law, Mark Shrum and Robby Nichols; Sister, Christine Cook. She is survived by; Daughters, Mary Tom Nichols Brenda Tuck and Husband, Randall Patti Griggs and husband, Jimmy Debbie Mason Lynn Shrum Sister, Patricia Pruitt Nine Grandchildren, Fifteen Great Grandchildren, Ten Great-Great Grandchildren, One Niece, One Nephew, and a host of extended family also survive.
