Obituary of Buford Gregory

Buford Gregory, age 84 of Gallatin, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021. Graveside Service will be Saturday, August 14th at 2:00 p.m. at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with Bro. D. W. Story and Bro. David Andrews officiating and Jackson Leath, Brian Doss, Adam Leath, Jimmy West, Phillip Searcy, and Don Presley serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Mason Leath, Andrew Searcy, and Tommy Johnson. Visitation will be Saturday, August 14th from 11:00 until 1:30 p.m. at Family Heritage Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 102, Gallatin, TN 37066. Mr. Gregory was born November 16, 1936 in Sumner County to the late Howard Gregory and Bertha Denney Gregory. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Betty Brown Gregory; daughter, Faye Robertson; brothers, William Gregory, Roy Herbert Gregory, and Steve Gregory; and sister, Mildred Zuerlein. He is survived by daughters, Sandra Doss (Mickey) of Gallatin, Peggy West (Jimmy) of Gallatin, and Bertha Johnson (Tom) of Alabama; brothers, Wallace Gregory (Frances) of Gallatin and James Gregory (Helen) of Portland; sister, Faye Caldwell (Jimmy) of Gallatin; sisters-in-law, Teva Gregory of Gallatin and Pauline Gregory of Gallatin; 6 grandchildren, Brian Doss, Brandy Presley (Don), Kelly Leath (Adam), Jimmy West, Heather Searcy (Phillip), and Tommy Johnson; and 6 great grandchildren, Kendall Shatswell, Jackson Leath, Mason Leath, Elizabeth Searcy, Andrew Searcy, and Piper Presley. Mr. Gregory was saved at the age of 12 and was a member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He loved antiques and fishing. Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
