I have known Sherry since our sons were in 5th grade together. They became best friends and Sherry was a big part of their lives. My son was at their house a lot, and she was always taking them somewhere. They were even roommates in college, and were in each others' weddings.
Sherry has been so courageous during her illness and has inspired a lot of people. She is one of the most genuine, Christian souls I have ever known. I can't think of a time when she didn't have a smile on her face, or when she wasn't laughing at something. She surely fought the good fight, and now she is reaping her reward. I spoke to her about 3 weeks ago for the last time, and told her I would look forward to seeing her again. She said, "Yes, and we will be celebrating!"
