I am so very sorry for your loss! Mr. Johnson was such a wonderful person and teacher! He was my teacher when I attended Glencliff High School from 1979-1983 and I was in the Concert Choir and the Pony Express (my favorite) those years and he was the BEST teacher ever! I learned so much from him and he was a big support to me during that time especially in my Junior and Senior years. He cared about his students so much! He was my favorite teacher! I remember I went to visit him and surprise him at the school for first period class in May of 1993. I was in town for my ten year high school reunion and there was no way I could leave town without going to see Mr. Johnson. It was so good seeing him and catching up for the short time we had before his class started. I moved to Middle Georgia in 1987 and so I hated not being able to attend when some classmates would get together and have lunch with him. I had hoped to join everyone last year but it did not work out. I would have loved to have seen him in person again. We messaged several times last year and he was always so kind and encouraging. He was truly a special man and a blessing to so many that knew him including myself! I have great memories of Mr. Johnson that I will cherish! My deepest sympathies to his wife, Pat, and the family! My heart goes out to you all as you grieve this great loss. You have endured so much loss these past few weeks and I'm so sorry. I pray the Lord brings you much comfort and peace and reassures you of the HOPE in Jesus Christ and that you WILL see your loved ones again one sweet day! God Bless you all!

I don’t think Tommy or Pat realized what an influence they had in my life. Part of who I am as a man is because of Tommy Johnson. He will always be loved and missed. But the best part of all, I will get to see him again. For this is not our home. Joe Mills

A man of God. A man of many good fruits. A man who was obedient to the Lord. May his family be proud of his works. They were many, and they were good. Many crowns of honor shall now sit on his head forever.

I met Tommy and Pat at the Tennessee children’s home in Brentwood. If you don’t know that’s a place where kids go they don’t have a mom and dad to take care of him or don’t want to take care of him. Tommy and Pat Johnson they became the one to love these kids more than a mom and dad did. They showed him the way through life they show them the way through school they showed them how to graduate , discipline them. I know these things because my granddaughter went there for four years. If it hadn’t been for Pat and Tommy she would’ve never graduated. It breaks my heart to see these two suffering through life after helping so many get through the hard times and now here they are going through the hard times and Tommy suffered for years . I don’t really know what to say except I love you guys and pray for you guys and especially the kids that were left behind. Prayers out to you Pat
