Obituary of Carol J. Slayton

Carol J. Slayton, age 71 of Bethpage, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021. Funeral Service will be Sunday, October 24th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Bro. Jerry Peace officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, October 23rd from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 24th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Key Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Slayton was born November 14, 1949 in Gallatin to the late Robert Green Escue and Minnie Louise Key Escue. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husbands, Homer Slayton and Robert Brooks; grandson, Charles Brooks; and brothers, Dean Escue and Jimmy Escue. She is survived by son, Ricky Brooks (Jennifer) of Westmoreland; sisters Alice Birdwell of Bethpage and Debbie Isenberg of Hendersonville; grandson, Ryan Brooks; and great granddaughter, Eevie Jade Brooks.
