Dad,
I do not know where to start. You were an incredible man who loved your family and grandchildren so much. I have so many great memories growing up.
You had a love for sports and took us to many NY Yankees and NY Mets games. You introduced us to your love of sports. I remember going up to Cooperstown to see your favorite players getting inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. We went to see David Wells pitch a perfect game as a NY Yankee in 1998. The giveaway that day was a Beanie Baby and you told me you would never sell it because it could be a collector’s item one day. I also remember going to many NY Mets games together where you were able to see Mike Piazza, David Wright and Jose Reyes play. You loved the NY Mets so much that Howard Johnson became one of my favorite baseball players. We also got to meet Dick Vitale together.
Thank you for coming to all of my soccer, softball and basketball games throughout the years. You always put your family first. You would get so excited every year on where we should go for our family vacation. We were able to go to some pretty awesome places.
I loved that you loved music so much. Every time I would come visit you were always singing a song. Today I was looking through photos and came across one where you were dancing at my wedding and remembered that the song playing was Shake It Off by Taylor Swift. When we were planning the wedding you made sure that song made it to the dance list.
You were a great father and grandfather. We will cherish our time and memories we had with you. We will keep your memory alive and talk to your grandchildren everyday about how great a person you were. I love you so much and will miss you everyday!
Love,
Megan
Kevin and Sue welcomed me into their family 16 years ago and have supported and loved me every day since. I’ll never forget the times he showed me around New York City, supported my artistic endeavors, and how he and Sue would drop everything to help me in times of need. When Jasper was born, he and Sue would come bring me lunch and clean my house. As a new mom, those things meant the world to me. Kevin was very generous and always willing to lend a helping hand, especially when it came to Jasper and Milo. “Grandpa Jordan” will be dearly missed! He adored his grandkids so much and enjoyed every moment he spent with them. Goodbye for now, Kevin! We love you!
