Obituary of Hazel "Granny" Parker
Hazel “Granny” Parker, age 87 of Gallatin, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022. Funeral Service will be Thursday, January 13th at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, January 13th from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
Mrs. Parker was born January 22, 1934 in Allen County, KY to the late William Henry Carter and Sadie Ray Carter. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sons, James William Perry and Roger Lee Perry; grandson, Lee Carter Perry; brothers, Hessie Woodrow Carter, Charles E. Carter, Carlis Dee Carter, Noman C. Carter, Melton Carter, Clyde G. Carter, and William P. Carter; and sister, Flossie Frances Durham. She is survived by husband, William Scottie Parker of Gallatin; grandson, James Scott Perry (Kayla); and 2 great grandchildren, Karter Lee Perry and Emry Kay Perry.
