Obituary of Betty Jean Fuqua

Betty Jean Fuqua, age 90 of Portland, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022.  Funeral Service will be Monday, January 24^th at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Bro. Bill Roark officiating.  Visitation will be Monday, January 24^th from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Fuqua was born August 18, 1931 in Gallatin to the late Rufus Withers and Elizabeth Catherine Gorman Withers.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Eugene Fuqua; sisters, Ruth Withers, Margaret Jones, Allene Wade, and Florence Fuqua; and brothers, Jake Withers, Robert Withers, and Sam Withers.  She is survived by son, Bobby Fuqua of Portland; brothers, Benny Withers (Diane) of Castalian Springs, William Withers (Sue) of Hendersonville, and Earl Withers of Portland; and sisters, Barbara Hobdy of Portland, Irene Moss of Gallatin, Florene Gregory of Gallatin, Virginia Fuqua of Cottontown, Nellie Bruce (Russell) of Gallatin, and Marilyn Gregory of Gallatin.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.  Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored to assist the family.
