Mary I’m sorry to hear the love of your life, Jerry past away.

I pray that God and his Angels will comfort you and your family now and all the coming days.

The Presley Family has been my neighbors for almost 40 years. Joe and Dorothy were like my parents for the years when I lost my father 1989. I never felt more love then I have from the whole Presley family. Jerry and I became very close over the past 10+ years, always there for each other when a problem arose, never a no when help was needed, and now I have a hole in my life where our friendship was, but it is quickly filled with the love from his family and friends. His last words to me were "see ya John" shortly before God took his spirit home. I will miss him, but never forget him.

It's probably been more than forty years since I last saw Jerry and I'm very saddened to learn of his passing. The man I remember was exactly that: A MAN. He greeted everyone with a broad smile, a kind and uplifting word, genuine concern for your well being, and he knew no strangers. When I was Little League commissioner, his help was constant and generous. To me, he represented the very best of community spirit and love for Hartsville. Anyone who ever knew him was fortunate indeed. I'm deeply thankful for my association with him and wish only the best for his family in this great time of sorrow they are experiencing. However powerful this loss lies upon you all, it must also be linked to the memory of joy and grace that knowing Jerry brought to every soul he touched.

So sorry Mary. He was a good man. Will be missed by many. Hugs and Prayers.
