Obituary of Randall "Cajun" Smith

Randy “Cajun” Smith, age 57 of Bethpage, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022.  Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 19th at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Friday, March 18th from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:30 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Eulia Cemetery, with Matt Smith, Jacob Smith, Taylor Simms, Clint Hollis, Ernest “Unc” Dodd, and Daniel “Blue” Ballew.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Family Heritage Funeral Home to assist the family with expenses.

Mr. Smith was born January 21, 1965 in Monroe, Louisiana.  He is preceded in death by mother, Shirley Glen Thompson Cullers; and sister, Jan Davis.  He is survived by father, Paul Smith (Alma) of Lafayette; wife of 23 years, Rita Smith of Bethpage; children, Dallas Smith of Bethpage, Matthew Smith of Hendersonville, Jacob Smith of Bethpage, and Karen Marr (Henry) of Louisiana; siblings, Donna Owens (Chris) of Louisiana, Kay King (Earnest) of Alabama, Eddie Ray (Vicki) of Shelbyville, Thomas Duchesne, Jr. of Louisiana, William Ray (Darlene) of Louisiana, Sharon Ray of Glasgow, KY, Brad Ray (Amanda) of Scottsville, KY, Billy Smith (Angel) of Lafayette, and Beth Smith of Lafayette; 3 grandchildren, Avery West, Tristian McLelland, and Cayden Drummond; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless other children who loved him.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
