Obituary of Jonathan Tyler White
Jonathan Tyler White was a loving son, brother and devoted father. He passed all too soon from this life in his home on June 5th, 2021. Tyler was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky on November 26th 1985 to Randall and Dawn White of Portland, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother Austin (Gillian) White of Garland, Texas, two children Morris Boone White (Mother - Gretchen Morris White) of Gallatin, Tennessee and Clara Beth White (Mother - Mary Helen Moon White) of Portland, his maternal grandparents Harry and Sue Summers of Portland and numerous beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bobby Joe and Patricia White.
Tyler was a 2004 graduate of Portland High School and a member of the 2000 State Championship football team. He shared a love of soccer with his brother and was named defensive MVP of the PHS soccer team in 2004.
Tyler was a baptized believer in Christ and had a loving heart and infectious smile. He enjoyed the great outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He took pride in his work and was the owner and operator of Star Landscaping. He was able to find joy in every situation, especially with his children. He was loved immensely by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, June 11, 2021 at Portland Church of Christ with Shawn Montandon and Timmy Pardue officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Garden in Gallatin, TN. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday and from 9:00 AM until service time Friday at Portland Church of Christ. Pallbearers will be Brandon Crimmons, Craig Flora, Breck Petty, Drake White, Dustin Hinton, Jake Johnson, Justin Summar and Matt Veale. Honorary pallbearers will be Mack Hodges, Kasey Allen, Joplin James, Joseph Whittaker and Tyler Patton.
