Obituary of Bobby Wayne Link Sr.

Mr. Bobby Wayne Link Sr. age 67 of Portland, TN, died Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN. Mr. Link was born January 1, 1954 in Franklin, KY the son of the late John Thomas and Emma Ruth Link. Mr. Link is survived by his son, Bobby Wayne Link II (Tanya) of Portland, TN. A brother, Leroy Link of Portland, TN. Two sisters, Lucille Bruce and Faye Link both of Portland, TN. Six grandchildren; Thomas Link, Bobby Wayne Link III, Jordan Link, Andrew Link and Rylee Link along with six great grandchildren. Along with his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by a son, Joey Dewayne Link and two brothers, Thomas Dale Link and Larry Joe Link. Bobby was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Portland, TN and a member of Masonic Lodge #326 in Portland, TN. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Portland, TN with Shane Lame and Melvin “Fuzzy” Link officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM Friday and from 9:00 AM until service time Saturday at Gilbert Funeral Home. Masonic Rites will be held at 7:00 PM Friday evening.
