Obituary of Billy Joe Broner

Mr. Billy Joe Broner, age 64 of Portland, TN died Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN. Mr. Broner was born August 21, 1957 in Portland, TN the son of the late Leslie Henry and Bertha Louise Broner. Mr. Broner is survived by two daughtersKendra Shrum of Brentwood, TN and Katrina Shrum of Portland, TN. His sister Helen Lame (David) of Portland, TN and his brother Henry Broner of Lafayette, TN along with two grandsons Shannon Lamont and Bradley Pearson. Along with his parents, Billy Joe was preceded in death by two brothers Bobby and Jackie Broner. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Portland, TN. Burial will follow at Old Brush Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM Monday and from 9:00 AM until service time Tuesday at Gilbert Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Marty Bullington, Joe Johnson, Carl Freeman, Micky Martez, Gary Bruce, Shannon Lamont and Bradley Pearson.
