Obituary of Ronald Joe Whitson

Mr. Ronald Joe Whitson, age 63 of Portland, TN, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Sunday, January 16, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home, Portland, TN. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 16th at 1:00 PM with burial to follow in the Mitchellville General Baptist Church Cemetery in Mitchellville, TN. Joe was born on February 11, 1958 to Melvin Whitson and Jeanette Royce Whitson whom both survive of Portland, TN. He is survived by his spouse, Cynthia Whitson, a daughter, Pam Whitson of Gallatin, TN, 2 brothers, Jamie Whitson and Randy Whitson both of Portland, TN, 2 sisters, Letricia King and Kathy Boyd both of Portland, TN, his canine companions Hitch and Arizona and several nieces and nephews.
