My favorite memory of "Big Nanny" was thr time I found baby "worms" under her back porch! She took care of me a lot as a child. I remember like yesterday but I was about 6 years old I saw some black worms crawling around the porch. I picked one up not knowing what I really found and I proceeded to show my great-grandmother the treasure I had found... turns out they were baby garden snakes and I had no idea! When I showed nanny she screamed and immediately slapped the "worm" from my hand and said "those aren't worms," "that's a baby snake, what's wrong with you!" We had a good laugh and I never picked up a baby black worm again! I love you Big Nanny!!
