Obituary of Mr. Darrell Wayne Woods

Mr. Darrell Wayne Woods, age 69 of Portland, TN., passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Skyline Madison Campus in Madison, TN. Mr. Woods was born March 25, 1948 in Lafayette, TN the son of the late William Floyd Woods and Ruby Jewel Bowers. Mr. Woods is survived by his daughter, Sherry Orsborne (Richie) of Portland, TN. A brother, Harold Woods (Helen) of Portland, TN. and a sister, Margie Sanders of Cleveland, TN. Two grandchildren, Avery and Sam Orsborne. Along with his parents, Darrell was preceded in death by his wife, Ersie Woods, a brother, Donnie Woods, and a sister, Jean Burton. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Portland, TN. with burial to follow at Akersville Cemetery in Akersville, KY. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM Tuesday and from 9:00 AM until service time Wednesday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
