Obituary of Mr. James Martin Graves

Mr. James Martin Graves, age 78 of Westmoreland, TN., passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN. Mr. Graves was born February 22, 1939 in Sumner County, TN the son of the late Roy and Elma Perry Graves. Mr. Graves is survived by his wife, Jewel Graves of Westmoreland, TN. Two daughters, Betty Pace (Richard) of Portland, TN. and Nicole Biggers (Micky) of Westmoreland, TN. A son, Jimmy Graves (Donna) of Westmoreland, TN. Six grandchildren; Brittany Button, Ashley Graves, Dustin Graves, Harley Pace, Dalton Pace and Jaylin Conyer. Five great grandchildren; Bryson, Emma, Daylin, LaDonna and Amaya. Several nieces, nephews and a special friend, his dog Bodie. Along with his parents, Martin was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Graves, a grandson, Blake Pace and his step-father, Hershel Perry. Martin worked as a custom cabinet maker for many years. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Portland, TN. with Bro. Bobby Cline officiating. Burial will follow at the Union Chapel Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM Sunday, from Noon until 9:00 PM Monday and from 9:00 AM until service time Tuesday at Gilbert Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jackie Parker, Travis Whittemore, Cliff Harris, Brian Harris, Robert Settle and Jackie Jones.
