Obituary of Ms. Lillie Groves

Ms. Lillie Groves, age 78 of Portland, TN., passed away Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Poplar Bluff Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Ms. Groves was a native of Flintville, TN and was the daughter of the late Jim and Leona Simmons. Ms. Groves is survived by 2 daughters; Phyllis (Bobby) Lame of Portland, TN. and Meredith (Ralph) White of Portland, TN. 1 son, Wayne (Kay) Groves of Nashville, TN. 3 sisters; Violet Mathias of Poplar Bluff, MO., Mary June (Aubrey) Sisk of Fayetteville, TN., and Hilda May of Lowell, IN. Grandchildren; Virgil Shane Lame, Elizabeth Lame Pippin, Carl Adam Groves, Tiffany Groves Trukovich, Drake Braxton White, Kinsey Catherine Elise White. Great grandchildren; Bobbi Madison Pippin, Mallory Kay Lame, Kayley Elizabeth Lame, Adelaide Dot Groves, Aiden Godric Groves. Ms. Groves was a ember of Union Chapel General Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Carl "Skippy" Groves earlier this year. 
 Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Portland Funeral Chapel with Rev. Shane Lame officiating. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memory Garden.
