Mr. Richard Dale Murphy, age 54 of Portland, TN., passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013 at his home in Portland, TN. Mr. Murphy was a born in Corpus Christi, TX., the son of the late J.C. Murphy Sr. and Emma Harrison Murphy who survives him in death. Along with his mother, Mr. Murphy is survived by 4 sons; James Richard Murphy, Jared Dakota Murphy, Jason Colter Murphy and Johnathon Nathaniel Inderjit all of Portland, TN. 7 daughters; Heather Leigh Murphy of Nashville, TN., Kristy Danielle and Angela Dawn Murphy bot of Clinton, TN., Julie Ann Murphy, Jazzlyn Rose Murphy, Jessica Colleen Murphy, and Jamey MacKenzie Inderjet all of Portland, TN. 2 brothers; Randall Crotts and Bobby Ray Murphy both of Old Hickory, TN. 2 sisters; Sandra Murphy Kouba of Old Hickory, TN., and Vicky Lynn Proctor of Center Hill, TN. Along with his father, Mr. Murphy is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Sharol Nail and Barbara Williams. 2 brothers; J.C. Murphy Jr. and James Clarence Murphy. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday at Portland Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Old Brush Cemetery.
