Obituary of John Marshall Bruce

John Marshall Bruce, age 66, of Gallatin, Tenn., passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013, in Rutherford Co., Tenn. He was a native of Gallatin and is the son of the late William "Bill" and Frances Bruce. He is survived by his sons, Jason Bruce of Portland and Steven Marshall Bruce of Savannah, Ga.; brother, Terry Bruce of Dallas, Tex.; sister, Judy Roberts of Bethpage, Tenn.; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bruce is preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Carol Whitson; sister, Nancy Bruce. Visitation is 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 19, 2013, and after 9:00 a.m., Wednesday. Funeral service is 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Portland Funeral Chapel with Pastor Robert Gilman officiating. Burial is at Jake Link Cemetery in Portland.
