Obituary of Shirley Butts

Shirley Butts, age 85 of Gallatin, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022.  Graveside Service will be Saturday, June 18^th at 3:00 p.m. at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with Bro. Julius Hovan officiating and Jordan Butner, Jake Kocher, Ryan Kocher, Daniel Birdwell, Colton Birdwell, Elba Dorris, and Chris Butner serving as pallbearers.  Visitation will be at Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin, Saturday, June 18^th from 1:00 p.m. until time to leave for the cemetery.

Mrs. Butts was born October 20, 1936 in Baxter, KY to the late Isaac Howard and Mary Ann Burkhart Howard.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Bill Howard and Ray Howard; and sisters, Anna Mae Bennett, Claudia Taylor, and Molly Davis.  She is survived by husband of 60 years, Ralph Butts of Gallatin; daughters, Kim Bay (Jim) of Knoxville and Mary Butner of Gallatin; 5 grandchildren, Jordan Butner, Jake Kocher, Ryan Kocher, Daniel Birdwell, and Colton Birdwell (Ashton); and 2 great grandchildren, Hensley Birdwell and Harlyn Birdwell.  Mrs. Butts worked at Gallatin Church of Christ Daycare for over 30 years.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
