Obituary of Margie Louise Shrum

Margie Louise Shrum, age 83 of Mt. Juliet, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022. Funeral Service will be Saturday, June 25th at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin with Bro. Ricky Holland officiating.  Visitation will be Friday, June 24th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Saturday June 25th from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Macon County Memorial Gardens with Josh Lewis, Brandon Bradley, Kevin Stockton, Brandon Woodroof, Craig Lassiter, Carson Lassiter and Ben Kimball serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959

Mrs. Shrum was born May 17, 1939 in Macon County, to the late Stanton Meador and Edith Scott Meador. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brother, William Irving Meador, and grandson, Ryan Stockton. She is survived by husband of 64 years Kenneth Ray Shrum of Mt. Juliet; daughters, Kendra Lassiter (Darrell) of White House; Karen Woodroof (David) of Lebanon, and Carol Fancher (Stephen) of Florida; grandchildren, Karah Lewis  (Josh), Kaitlyn Bradley (Brandon), Kevin Stockton (Melissa), Brandon Woodroof (Madison), Craig Lassiter (Lacey), Melissa Kimball (Ben), Carson Lassiter (Hannah), and Olivia Fancher; great grandchildren, Fiona Lewis, Asha Stockton, Darcy Woodroof, Deacon Woodroof, and Adeline Kimball; brother, Dale Meador (Sandra) of Lafayette; and sister, Nora Driver (Roger) of Gallatin.
