Coach Mac was a coach at Kenwood High in Clarksville, TN throughout my high school years (2003-2007). He was never my coach or teacher, but I knew him well because my mom was a counselor at the school. He was always one of the most down to earth and cool teachers. All of the kids loved coach Mac. Little did I know, in 2015, he and I would be onboarding as teachers at the same time in Jackson-Madison County Schools! A whole teacher from my high school, all the way in west TN, would be teaching right alongside me. We even had a connection, because he married my former AAU teammate’s mom! Katie and I go back to 6th grade! Our connections came full circle and Coach Mac will truly be missed. Keep them smiling and laughing up there, Coach!

Mac was one of a kind… fierce competitor, loyal, dedicated, compassionate soul, but most of all he was a good friend and I will miss him.

As years passed I really appreciate everything you taught, gave and stood for. It was an honor playing and learning about life from you. You definitely impacted everyone and had a loving soul. Definitely will be missed thanks for the memories. Love you coach Mac!

I can always hear coach singing my name. He always thought about us and would send random messages just to check in. He was an inspiration and help mold many of us into the people we are now! You are loved and missed.
