Obituary of James "Bud" Rittenberry

James “Bud” Rittenberry, age 82 of Gallatin, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022.  Funeral Service will be Friday, August 5th at 10:00 a.m.  in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin.  Visitation will be Thursday, August 4th from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Friday, August 5th from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with family serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Rittenberry was born March 11, 1940 in Gallatin to the late Isom L. Rittenberry and Thelma J. Bolton Rittenberry.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by son, Steven Deering; sister, Donna Skaggs.  He is survived by wife of 35 years, Camilla Jean Durham Rittenberry of Gallatin; son, Mike Deering (Tina) of Gallatin; brothers, Joe Rittenberry (Barbara) of Alabama and Thomas “Tommy” Rittenberry (Jackie) of Lafayette; sisters, Betty Gammons of Gallatin, Bertha Taylor of Kentucky, Janet Woodard of Gallatin, Debbie Silcox of Gallatin, Pat Moore (Larry) of Gallatin, and Sheryl Smith of Hendersonville; 2 grandchildren, Miranda Bugg and Tori Watson; and great granddaughter, Novaleigh Barnett.  Mr. Rittenberry served our country in the United States Army.  He worked for H.A.T.S. for 12 years.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.  Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin has been honored to assist the family.
