Obituary of Billy Joe Mooneyhan

Mr. Billy Joe Mooneyhan, age 88 of Cottontown, Tennessee passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022 at Westmoreland Care and Rehab in Westmoreland, Tennessee. Mr. Mooneyhan was born on July 5, 1934 in Portland, Tennessee to the late James and Martha Walker Mooneyhan.

He is survived by his daughter, Sharon (Michael) Dodson; brother, Donald (Betty) Mooneyhan; sisters, Virginia Stafford and Linda Upchurch; grandchildren, Jeremy Sadler, Brandy (Nick) Genzone, Mitzi (Sam) Tomlinson, and April Dodson; 10 great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Mr. Mooneyhan was preceded in death by sons, Jeffery Christopher Mooneyhan and Steve Allen Mooneyhan; daughter, Rhonda Jo Owings; brothers, Roy Mooneyhan, Odell Mooneyhan, and Benny Mooneyhan; sisters, Laura Matthews, Edna Woodard, Thelma Simmons, and May Jewell Stafford.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 18^th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Portland. Interment will follow the service at Jake Link Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, August 17^th from 1:00-8:00 PM and Thursday, August 18^th from 11:00 AM until time of service.
