Duane…What. Can I say about a man who was one of a kind in my life? He was like endless energy, always charged, full of life! Like stated by his children when he walked into a room his shire presence filled it and everyone in it with electricity, it was truly something to behold! From his booming voice, his infectious laughter, to his warm hugs and “colorful” words of greeting you knew that you where in the presence of Duane Clack and you felt it through and through! The joy, the love, that’s what you felt when you were around Duane. He loved people, he loved his family and we all loved/LOVE him. He was one of the best cousins I could ever have. So many fun times and memories! And, even though there was 15 years difference between us he was never dismissive of that age gap and always saw me, believed in me… And for that I will always be grateful to him for.

I love you cousin and will miss you greatly. Family gatherings won’t be the same without your laughter.

I will always remember Mr. Duane as the surrogate father of the neihborhood. He embraced all with wisdom, love, counsel, laid education, helped with reality checks, and called a spade a spade when necessary regardless of age (at an age appropriate level). His method was so smoothe you listened attentively, took heed, and was smiling at least once before the door closed. I'm still not sure why he didn't have a cookbook that I'm aware of because he was the Master in the kitchen and on the grill. He will always be the king of the castle because memories don't disappear. I am proud he positively impacted my household directly and indirectly through his family. He will always be remembered and lessons he taught will continue to impact lives.”
