Gestures
I've known Tommy and his family since I was a young kid, as somebody had mentioned before, I use to go with my dad and grandad to his mechanic shop in town and met his son Tommy, who I pretty much became best friends with. I remember spending nights at their house on Lock 4 road when we were still in Jr high school and Tommy had started driving a truck, becoming closer friends with my dad. But as Ive looked back, some of the best times of my life were spending weekends with my grandparents, Tommys family, the Hunters, the Littles, the Dorris' and more families camping and fishing in Granville every weekend, I NEVER WANTED TO GO HOME. My heart goes out to Tammy, Missa and Jamie and all the rest of his great family who are grieving but also know he is with your mom and little Tommy now, love you all

James Thomas & I both were born outside of Red Boiling Springs on Long Hungry Creek near each other. He is my nephew, even though he was born in 1939 and I was born in 1942. I was unexpected when I was born because everyone thought that my mother was too old to have any more children; but surprise---surprise----along came me! Haha-- I had 4 sisters & 3 brothers, and I am now the last one left. They said that James Thomas called me Little Uncle and we always lived pretty close to each other for a good many years and therefore we grew up almost like brothers because my real brothers were a lot older than me. We both lived on farms, and we were always finding things to get into and do until I was around 10 years old. Mother & I moved into Nashville, and so I didn't get to see Thomas very often then. I always remember those good years though that we were almost like brothers. We lived near each other in Castellion Springs when I was in the first & second grades! We both walked to school then and he looked out for me some too! There was a Mill there that would grind corn into meal & chicken feed and there was a Blacksmith Shop that would shoe horses and any other blacksmith work needed. I am going to miss James Thomas being there even though I hardly ever got a chance to come up and see him. I at least knew that he was up there, and I felt good about that! I am going to miss You Being There My Big Nephew!!! MAY GOD BLESS & KEEP YOU----TIL WE MEET AGAIN!!!
