Obituary of B. J. Scruggs

B. J. Scruggs, age 39 of Lafayette, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022.   Funeral Service will be Sunday, September 18^th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home in Lafayette.  Visitation will be Sunday, September 18^th from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Drury Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a Trust Fund for the children at Citizen’s Bank in Lafayette.

Mr. Scruggs was born June 1, 1983 in Gallatin.  He is preceded in death by father, Billy Keith Scruggs; grandmother’s, Betty Lee Howell and Doris Doss; and grandfather, Benny Doss.  He is survived by daughter, Madison Scruggs of Lafayette; sons, Landon Scruggs of Lafayette and Memphis Scruggs of Celina; mother, Camilla Dawn Howell of Lafayette; grandfather, Johnny Howell of Westmoreland; sister, Mandy Scruggs (Steve Thompson) of Port Orange, FL; mother of Madison and Landon, Sara Towe; and mother of Memphis, Lauren Rich.  Mr. Scruggs attended Volunteer State Community College.  He was owner and operator of Needle Bent Tattoo in Lafayette and Gallatin.  Online condolences may be submitted at alexanderfh.com or familyheritagefh.com.  Alexander Funeral Home and Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin have been honored to assist the family.
