Obituary of Christopher Leon Whitson
Mr. Christopher Leon Whitson, age 40 of Hartsville, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, September 16th, 2022 in Portland, TN. Mr. Whitson was born on December 15, 1981 in Gallatin, TN to Jerry Kenneth Whitson and Stephanie Viola Gober.
Mr. Whitson is survived by his life partner, Samantha Foster; children, Jesse Whitson, Trinity Whitson and Blake Whitson; brothers, Jeremy Whitson and Dustin Gober; step-brothers, Jeremy Gober and Michael Vanlieu; step-sister, Erica Vanlieu.
Mr. Whitson was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Elaine West, James and Mayzell Whitson.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 23rd at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Portland with Bro. Hank Johnson officiating. Interment will follow the service at Jake Link Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, September 22nd from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Friday, September 23rd from 10:00 AM until time of service.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests donations be made to the funeral expense.
