Obituary of Marsha Reeder

Reeder, Marsha Whitley, age 68, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Saturday, January 21, 2023. 

She was born in Donelson, TN on July 22, 1954. She is preceded in death by her mother, Madeline Haskins, father, Dorris Whitley, sister, Sherline Boner, and granddaughter, Aliyah Giffen. 

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Robert Reeder; daughters, Darci Alexander and Jynn Fisher, step daughter, Jamie Ernst (Erick), granddaughters, Skylar and Zoey Alexander; Sister Linda Britt, brother-in-law, Thaxton Boner; niece, Tammy Cordes (Craig), nephew, Duane Boner (Kim), nephew, Eugene Boner (Debbie), niece, Marcy Shick (Troy), and countless other family members and friends. 

Prior to retiring, Marsha spent most of her career in insurance marketing. She was known for her infectious laugh and upbeat, bubbly personality. She loved all things Christmas, baking, and embroidery. She loved spending time outdoors camping, singing next to a bon fire, and their cabin in Tellico Plains became a staple for most family and friends. The infamous Reeder pool parties on the summer weekends were occasions not to be missed. She loved her family pool volleyball competitions! She had an abundance of love for her golden retrievers. 

A member of North Boulevard Church of Christ, she was a Loving Christian that put Christ and others before all. 

Pallbearers will be Eugene Boner, Duane Boner, Craig Cordes, Danny Balch, Danny Martin, Wayne Dery

Visitation will be Tuesday, January, 24th from 4:00pm-8:00pm and Wednesday, January 25th from 11:00am-1:00pm with funeral service directly following at 1:00pm with Tony Holt officiating. Visitation and services at Sellars Funeral Home, 2229 N. Mt. Juliet Road, Mt. Juliet, TN. Graveside service immediately following at Mount Juliet Memorial Gardens.
