Melody (Ann) Dorris Woolwine was born Barbara Ann Morford on April 9, 1949 in Mesa Arizona.  She was adopted with her biological brother (Hal) to Sallye Mae and Harold Dorris.  Ann grew up in Madison, Tennessee and was very active in church at Inglewood Baptist Church. Ann graduated from Madison High School in 1968.

In early 1969, Ann was set up on a blind date with a guy from the West End area.  There was an instant connection.  The following Friday evening Ann climbed down the tree outside her bedroom window, hopped in the car with Earl Glenn Woolwine III and they eloped. They were married for 42 years and were inseparable until Earl died of heart failure in 2013. Ann never recovered from losing her soulmate.

Ann wore many hats over the years; Candy Striper, Secretary at the Baptist Sunday School Board; School bus driver; Child care provider; mom; daughter; wife; friend to name a few.

Ann loved holidays and being surrounded by family and enjoying life to the fullest.
