Obituary of Jerry Neal Mires

MIRES, Jerry Neal, age 83 of Mt. Juliet, passed away on March 19, 2023.

Jerry was a proud member of Center Chapel Church of Christ. If you knew Jerry, you knew he loved golf, he also was a big Vandy fan! He was a wonderful man who will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Mires. He is survived by his children, Pam (Wes) Neely and Gerry (Tina) Mires; brothers, Monty (Kellie) Mires and Eddie Mires; grandchildren, Brooke (Josh) Sloan, Rob (Shanna) Neely, Jenna (Nick) Ferguson, Jenny (John) Lamb, Bradley (Kelsey) Mires, and Harley Mires; 12 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at 1:00pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Brother Darrell Duncan and Brother Andy Connelly officiating. The Visitation will also be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023, from 11:00am until time of service at 1:00pm.

The Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with Josh Sloan, Nick Ferguson, Rob Neely, Tristan Lamb, Kaleb Lamb, and Bradley Mires serving as Pallbearers.

In leu of flowers, make donations to Church of Christ at Center Chapel.
