Obituary of Danny Wayne Claridy

Mr. Danny Wayne Claridy, age 61 of Hartsville, TN passed away Friday morning, May 26, 2023 at his home surrounded by those he loved. Sadly, we said goodbye to a great Husband, Father and Papoo.

Preceded in death by:  Parents, Leslie Thomas and Annie Douglas Dickens Claridy: Father in Law and Mother in Law, Bruce and Mary Jo Newman;  Brother, Billy Ralph Claridy and Sister, Deborah Kay Carr.

Survived by: Wife of 39 years and high school sweetheart, Mary Lynn Claridy-Hartsville, TN; Son, Michael (Cody-Dale) Claridy-Hartsville, TN and Daughter, Heather Claridy-Louisville, KY;  2 grandchildren Charlie and Dixon Claridy;  2 Brothers, Richard Claridy-Lafayette, TN and Gary (Jennifer) Claridy-Hartsville, TN and 5 Sisters, Barbara Brooks-Riddleton, TN, Nancy Tomlinson-Hartsville, TN, Marie (Mack) Sircy-Hartsville, TN, Patricia Dickens-Hartsville, TN and Jan (Jerry) Gentry-Hartsville, TN.

Danny was a loving husband and amazing father, but he really shined at being Papoo to Charlie and Dixon. His grandchildren could always make him laugh even in the last days when he didn’t feel his best. He left this world peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Anthony Funeral Home at 2 PM Monday, May 29, 2023 conducted by Eld. Jeff Blackwell. Serving as pallbearers: Ronnie Sircy, Cody Woodall, Austin Woodall, Jared Robertson,  Adam Joyner, Ben Hudson, Pete Byrnes and David Armistead. Interment will be in the Dixon Springs Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 12 Noon to 8 PM Sunday and 12 Noon until service time Monday.
