Obituary of Joyce Savage

Joyce Savage, age 87 of Gallatin, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023.  Graveside Service will be Friday, June 23^rd at 3:00 p.m. at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with Jerry Burchett officiating.  Visitation will be at Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin Friday, June 23^rd from 1:00 p.m. until time to leave for the cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1801 West End Avenue Suite 200, Nashville, TN  37203.  Honoring her as pallbearers are:  Blake Savage, Gwynn Savage, Fred Alverson, Wayne Carden, and Jim Byars.

Mrs. Savage was born February 27, 1936 in Maury County to the late David Floyd Goad and Mary Carolyn Notgrass Goad.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Lewis Wrenn Savage; and sisters, Dorothy Alverson and Doris Wiley.  She is survived by sons, David Farris Savage (Ronda) of Rock Hill, SC and Stephen Wrenn Savage (Jennifer) of Hendersonville, TN; and three grandchildren, David Blake Savage, Audrey Leigh Savage, and Caroline Anne Savage.  Mrs. Savage worked for Dr. Kenneth Case for many, many years.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
