Obituary of Larry Max Starner

Larry Max Starner, age 83 of Gallatin, Passed away, Sunday, July 16, 2023.  Funeral Service will be Saturday, July 22nd at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin.  Visitation will be Friday, July 21st from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 22nd from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment, with Military Honors, will follow the service at Gallatin City Cemetery, with grandsons serving as pallbearers.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 223 Rosa L. Parks Avenue, Suite 301, Nashville, TN  37203.

Mr. Starner was born August 2, 1939 in Marion, Ohio to the late Rolly Edward Starner and Cordelia Patchett Starner.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Sandra Wygle Starner; daughter, Shirley Brown; brothers, Harold Starner, Bill Starner, and Lee Starner; and sister, Betty Thibaut.  He is survived by children, Steven Starner (Debby) of Christiansburg, VA, Gary Starner (Kathy) of Hendersonville, Kevin Starner (Deb) of Lafayette, Kari Sykes (Donnie) of Hartsville, Corinna Huffine (Edward) of Hartsville, and Ryan Starner of Gallatin; 22 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.  Mr. Starner served our country in the United States Navy in the Seabees.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
