Obituary of Karl Foster Geesey

Geesey, Karl Foster, 75, of Mt Juliet, TN, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Sinclair Geesey and son, John Geesey, both of Mt Juliet, TN.   Karl was born in Oakland, CA to parents Robert Atwood Foster (Geesey) and Nancy Vonceile Taylor Geesey.  He was raised by his mother in Atlanta Georgia and after college he moved to Nashville, TN.

Karl and Kathy married at West End United Methodist Church on October 3rd 1987.  Karl was her SCUBA instructor and they spent years exploring and photographing numerous islands.  Before that, Karl was President of the Nashville Snow Ski Club and he traveled the world snow skiing.  For years he managed and grew a large microfilm department for EBM and retired from Nashville Rubber and Gaskett as manager for their IT and inventory.   Karl's quick sense of humor and famous chili parties will be dearly missed.

The Visitation will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023 from 1-3PM. The Funeral Service will then be held at 3:00PM at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet.  The Internment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.  Casual island attire is welcomed as we celebrate Karl.
