Obituary of Rolie J. Rickel

Rolie J. Rickel, age 63 of Cottontown, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2023.  Funeral Service will be Friday, July 28^th at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin with Bro. Gary Sullivan officiating.  Visitation will be Thursday, July 27^th from 1:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Friday, July 28^th from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Bush’s Chapel Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin to assist the family with expenses.

Mr. Rickel was born October 8, 1959 in Portland to the late Guy Silvester Rickel and Mazie B. Morrow.  He is survived by wife of 46 years, Sherry Lynn Langford Rickel of Cottontown; sons, Reese Hooge (Ginger) of Greenbrier and Randell Hooge (Christa Goodwin) of Portland; brothers, Bobby Rickel of White House and Randy Rickel (Jeri) of Nashville; sister, Ann Rickel of Florida; grandchildren, Abbey Medley (Chase), Megan Hooge, Veda Hooge, and Layloni Hooge; and great grandchildren, Saylor Medley and Cross Medley.  Mr. Rickel retired from USA Steel after 38 years of service.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com
