Obituary of Roy Thomas Bruce

Roy Thomas Bruce, age 82 of Gallatin, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.  Funeral Service will be Saturday, July 29^th at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin, with Bro. Doyle Farris officiating.  Visitation will be Friday, July 28^th from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 29^th from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with Phillip Vance, Jeremy Wolfe, Cody Stewart, Austin Adcock, Ricky Keen, and Walter Haynes serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Ryker Wolfe and Porter Vance. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hartsville Pike Church of Christ Youth Fund, 744 Hartsville Pike, Gallatin, TN  37066.

Mr. Bruce was born September 5, 1940 in Gallatin to the late John Thomas Bruce, Jr. and Lola Huntsman Bruce.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by son, Barry Bruce.  He is survived by wife of 56 years, Joanne Loftis Bruce of Gallatin; daughter, Anne Green (Mike) of Mt. Juliet; son, Glenn Bruce (Andrea) of Mt. Juliet; brother, Russell Bruce of Gallatin; sister, Sandra Little (Bruce) of Gallatin; 6 grandchildren, Aaron Bruce (Amber), Elizabeth Brown (Jon), Emily Vance (Phillip), Holly Wolfe (Jeremy), Abbey Stewart (Cody), Kaitlyn Adcock (Austin); and 8 great grandchildren.  Mr. Bruce retired from Advanced Plastics as Senior Vice President after 44 years of service.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
