Obituary of Robert Carl Carmack, Sr.

Robert Carl Carmack, Sr., age 89 of Gallatin, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023.  Funeral Service will be Thursday, August 24^th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin, with Bro. Jerry Peace officiating.  Visitation will be Thursday, August 24^th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Hillcrest Municipal Cemetery in White House, TN, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105-9959.

Mr. Carmack was born January 11, 1934 in Sumner County to the late Horace Edward Carmack and Vessie Gourley Carmack.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Geraldine Gantt Carmack; great grandson, Gabriel Jackson; brother, James Carmack, Mike Carmack, and Mark Carmack; and sisters, Dorothy Jones, Elizabeth Palmer, and Janell Hoover.  He is survived by son, Robert Carl Carmack, Jr. of White House; daughter, Cathy Ryan (Tim) of Gallatin; sister, Katherine Campbell of Gallatin; grandchildren, Stacey Jackson and Sarah Rauschenberger; and great grandchildren, Haley Jackson, Riley Jackson, and Addy Jackson.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
