Obituary of Gordon Wayne Hire

Mr. Gordon Wayne Hire, age 71 of Hartsville, TN passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023 at his home.

Preceded in death by:  Parents, Frank R. Hire Sr. & Cassie Walton Hire and Brother, Frank Robert Hire Jr..

Survived by:  Wife, Teresa Hire-Hartsville, TN;  Son, Joshua (Cory) Hire-Lebanon, TN;  2 Daughters, Tera (Chris) Hix-Hartsville, TN & Tierra (Kason) Hire-Hartsville, TN;  2 Grandchildren, Lane & Adalyn;  Great Grandchild, Grayson;  Brother, Steve (Susan) Wilmore-Riddleton, TN and Sister, Anita Pirtle-Murfreesboro, TN.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Anthony Funeral Home at 1 PM Monday, September 4, 2023 conducted by Bro. Edward Anderson and Bro. Jack McCall.  Interment will be in the Hartsville Memorial Gardens.  Visitation with the family will be from 1 to 8 PM Sunday and 10 AM until service time Monday.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
