Obituary of Dorothy May McNeill

Dorothy May “Dada” McNeill, age 90 of Gallatin, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023.  Funeral Service will be Saturday, September 2^nd at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin, with Jerry Willoughby officiating.   Visitation will be Saturday, September 2^nd from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m.  Interment will be private.

Mrs. McNeill was born May 31, 1933 in Gallatin to the late John Bruce and Bertha Buck Bruce.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Billy McNeill; sisters, Helen Ligon, Mary Graham, Mildred Morris, Ethel Winfrey, Willie Clements, Geraldean Cherry, Margaret Combs, Margie Griffin, and Hazel Huckaba; brothers, Henry Bruce, Bill Bruce, Eligin Bruce, and John Thomas Bruce.  She is survived by daughter, Roschelle Dixon (Earl) of Gallatin; grandchildren, Lorie Tuck (Michael), Candice Hale (Jamie), and Justin Dixon (Angela); great grandchildren, Griffin Proffitt (Savannah), Holland Hallman (John), Gracie Green, Carson Proffitt, Tristan Hale, Mya Peeples, Krissy Absher, Victoria Smith, Logan Smith, India Smith; and great grandchildren, Paisley Proffitt and Maylynn Proffitt.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
