Obituary of Mattie Ellen Driver George

Ms. Mattie Ellen Driver George, age 78, of Lafayette, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Knollwood Manor in Lafayette. Funeral services for Mattie George are scheduled to be conducted on Monday, September 11, 2023, at 11 AM, from The Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Shawn Shoulders officiating. Interment will follow in The Drury Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will begin at the funeral home on Sunday, September 10, 2023, from 11 AM until 8 PM and on Monday from 8 AM until service time at 11 AM.

Mattie George was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Gayle George; Parents, Leonard Madison Driver and Mary Ellen Holland Driver; and Sister, Lou Ann Kirby.
