Obituary of William C. "W.C." Shults

William C. “W. C.” Shults, age 85 of Gallatin, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023.  Graveside Service will be Saturday, September 9^th at 11:00 a.m. at Crestview Memory Gardens, with family serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers are William Martin, Whitt Martin, Lee Martin, Thomas Dorman, James Dorman, Mac Busenitz, Gus Busenitz, Calvin Whitaker, Michael Shults, Grayson Christian, Braden Christian, James Shults, Abram Hollis, Noah Hollis, Grady Catron, James Hunter.  Funeral Service will be Saturday, September 9^th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin, with Rev. Marcus Busenitz officiating.  Visitation will be Saturday, September 9^th from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice to honor Mr. Shults.

Mr. Shults was born January 25, 1938 in Lawrence County, TN to the late William Brownlow Shults and Eula Brown Shults.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Margaret Fergerson Shults; brothers, Clellan Edward Shults, Carl Alvin Shults, Boyd Ray Shults, and Loyd Raymond Shults; and sisters, Thelma M. Grooms, Iva Lee Clayton, Betty Lou Mashall, and Bertha Lois Ward.  He is survived by daughter, Chantay Catron (Gene) of Gallatin; sons, John Shults (Darlene) of Birmingham, AL and William C. “Bill” Shults (Sandra) of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Jocelyn Martin (Marty), Blair Dorman (Ethan), Sarah Busenitz (Marcus), Maggie Whitaker (Daniel), John Shults (Liz), Gil Shults, Merissa Christian (Matt), Meghan Hollis (Derek), Wil Shults (Kyle), Brett Catron (Jami), Alicia Hunter (Robert), and Sam Catron (Molly); and 29 great grandchildren, with 30 and 31 on-the-way.  Mr. Shults retired from Moore and Shaw as Parts Manager after 30 years of service.  After retirement, he had a second career as truck driver for GAPCO and MGM Industries.  Online condolences may be submitted at fmilyheritagefh.com.
