Obituary of Dallas Stithem

Dallas Stithem passed away on November 5, 2023 at age 88. The Funeral Service is 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2023 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Pastor Jim Kubic of Launchpoint Church will officiate. Interment in Wilson County Memorial will follow the service. Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the service at 2 p.m.

               Dallas Eugene Stithem was born in Ohio to Betty Miller and Ivan Stithem Sr. He served in the United States Army as a Paratrooper in the 101st Airborne. We are left on this earth to hurt, but he lived his life for the Lord and was ready whenever He was finished with him here. He was an honest, precious soul who truly loved everyone like Jesus. Mr. Stithem was a teacher and minister at the Freedom House Ministries in Lebanon for more than 10 years. He worked in Maintenance for the Housing Authority. He loved Westerns.

               Mr. Stithem is survived by his children: Jeanne Wigington, Vicki Thompson, Ivan Stithem, Matthew (Gloria) Stithem, and Allison (Steve) Puckett; grandchildren: Joshua Hearn, Jamie (Travis) McKnight, Libby (Thomas) Speck, Victoria (Davis) Harrison, Jordan Stithem, Jay Stithem, Kristin Stithem, William (Audra) Stithem, Jackson (Brooke) Stithem, Ethan Puckett, Abbey Puckett, and Carter Puckett; brothers: Ivan Stithem Jr. and Bill (Annie) Stithem; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by wife Shelbia Stithem, grandson Davy Thompson, parents Betty and Ivan Stithem, and 6 siblings.
